We can make a difference
The Hispanic American community in the United States has contended with the lowest
high school and college completion rates of any racial/ethnic group. And with the current
economic crisis, there are even fewer opportunities now for Latinos seeking higher education.
By contributing to scholarship organizations that focus on the Hispanic community, we can
help break the cycle of under-education for college-bound Latinos. Creating opportunities
for higher education translates into better paying jobs, financially sound families, and
reduction of public expenditures, which is good for Hispanics and good for America.
